For this family, I wanted to honor the history and character of the apartment while updating key materials—particularly the flooring—with more durable, high-performance finishes capable of withstanding dogs, daily wear, heels, strollers, and wheelchairs. The goal was to create a home that feels warm, eclectic, and artisanal while remaining practical for modern family life. Natural materials, performance fabrics, and ADA-compliant design solutions work together to support comfort, longevity, and accessibility without sacrificing beauty.
