While to the naked eye the desert can seem defined by what it lacks, to discerning minds it communicates a quiet abundance: space for inspiration. Inspired by Rocky Lafleur's understanding of design as something interconnected—people, objects, feeling and relationships—Lafleur Desert Sanctuary imagines a weekend home as a place to escape, gather and connect. The open floor plan allows colors, materials and conversations to bleed from one space into the next. No one is left out, and all are welcome to join in the laughter.
